Support Groups
We offer support groups in person at our office located at 1719 W 3rd St, Bloomington, IN 47404 with hybrid and virtual options to join.It is our hope that you find community, fellowship, and friendshipin your support group to give you strength, hope, and encouragement in your fight for recovery.
To join a support group, a brief intake interview is required to assess and jointly determine which support group will best fit your needs.
Support Groups Meeting in Bloomington
All Cancer Support Group: 1st and 3rd Wednesday 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM
Our Patient Support Group welcomes anyone with any type of cancer to share a safe space to where anyone can connect with each other to discuss experiences, difficulties, and successes in their fight against cancer.
Friends & Family Support Group: 1st and 3rd Wednesday 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM
Our Friends and Family Support Group offers a safe space where anyone who has been affected by a friend or family member with a cancer diagnosis can connect with others to discuss their experiences, challenges, and relationship with that person while supporting a loved one in their fight against cancer.
Supportive Sounds: 2nd and 4th Monday 5:30 PM
Supportive Sounds is a support group for cancer patients, survivors, caregivers and family members. It is led by a board-certified music therapist using music therapy techniques to provide a safe space for emotional expression and identification of coping skills. No music experience is required to participate!
*Brief interview required to join. RSVP is required to attend. RSVP to info@cancersupportscin.org. In-person seating is limited to 12.
Support Groups Meeting in Indianapolis
Our support groups meeting in Cancer Support Community Paulson Family Center located at 5150 W. 71st St, Indianapolis, IN 46268. A virtual link to join will be provided after joining the group. These groups offer support for more specific topics and challenges face by cancer patients. Dates and times vary, call (317) 257-1505 for more information or to join.
