Information, Assistance, and Referrals
We know we can't do everything, but we make it our job to help you find the resource that does what you need. We maintain a list of other cancer related resources, have an extensive resource library available, share access to extensive online resources available through CSC National, and work with both local and national organizations that work with cancer patients, survivors, caregivers and family members. Additionally, we maintain relationships with other social service organizations and non-profits through our United Way community partnership and other networking groups.
We also provide a range of financial assistance programs to help cancer patients in active treatment plans.
Boutique
In our office located at 1719 W 3rd St, Bloomington, IN 47404 we have a boutique with a wide range of donated wigs, hats, scarves, and other items that cancer patients need. We have partnered with Olcott Center to establish the main inventory of items, but also welcome donations from individuals or groups in the community who love to knit or crochet. Additionally, we have a relationship with a wholesaler and a fund that allows us to purchase wigs for cancer patients who can’t find what they are looking for in our inventory. Call or email to set up a wig fitting.

Patient Assistance Fund
During the nationwide state of emergency and COVID-19 pandemic, we saw a significant increase in need of essential items, food, transportation, and financial assistance of cancer patients. To address this, we sought out funding to start a Patient Assistance Fund which provides free grocery and gas gift cards to cancer patients in active treatment that meet income guidelines. Additionally, we collect bulk donations of essential items and have “Porch Pick Up” opportunities for people in need of essential items like cleaning and hygiene supplies.
If you need financial assistance through grocery and gas gift cards, you can download and complete the Patient Assistance Fund application. You will need the assistance of your doctors office or an oncology social worker to complete the medical section of the application.
*Call or email if you need assistance filling out the application: info@cancersupportscin.org or call (812) 233-3286.
